Go With the Flow Builder
The magic of two-way messaging is what makes SMS the crux of your marketing strategy. Our Flow Builder makes it easy.
Here's How It Works
Easily build, visualize, and manage SMS campaigns and automations using our intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Create different follow-up responses based on how your subscribers reply or what actions they take.
Use it for Highly Customizable Campaigns
Our Campaign Flow Builder allows you to send with strategic segmentation. You can engage different parts of your subscriber base with the message content that’s most likely to appeal to them—resulting in higher clickthrough rates, conversions, and overall earnings.
Create Action-Based Automations
Automatically send a message—or a flow of multiple messages—based on predefined trigger events. Our Automation Flow Builder enables brands to create action-based welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, order shipped, subscription management, back in stock, loyalty offer, and review request messages.
Analyze and React to Customer Responses
Manage and respond to incoming subscriber texts via the Responses tab. We use machine learning to help you filter and prioritize conversations based on the sentiment (😁 Positive, 😖 Negative, or Neutral) or the topic (Question, Shipping, Returns, etc.). You can also forward subscriber replies to your support email, integrate with Slack, or connect Postscript to your help desk of choice—including Gorgias, Zendesk, and many others.
Integrations & API

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! When you start a free trial, you’ll receive a credit equal to $1,000 that you can use during your first 30 days.
This credit applies toward message and carrier fees. If you exhaust your credit before your trial ends or at the end of your first 30 days, you will be charged at the Free package rate for any additional messages sent (unless you select a different package).
During your trial, you will be able to build two unique keywords, set up automations, send out marketing campaigns, create segments, leverage integrations, and respond to customers. We want you kick the tires on our software as much as possible.
Have a current subscriber list that you’d like to bring over for your trial? Check out this article for how to upload that list.
Carrier fees are small surcharges that mobile carriers (e.g. Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) charge for sending messages using their networks. These fees vary from carrier to carrier and, with transparent invoicing, it’s easy to view and track those fees.
The cost on your invoice is defined by carriers and Postscript lists that exact amount on your invoice without any additional markup. You can learn more about carrier fees here.
Postscript offers two options when it comes to your SMS phone number: a dedicated short code (DSC) or a toll-free number (TFN).
If you're sending to a low volume of subscribers or new to the SMS game - a TFN may be right for you. When you install Postscript, you are assigned a dedicated TFN that we verify for you. This TFN and the verification process is available to all Postscript merchants for free.
If you are sending to a high volume of subscribers or looking for fast, consistent delivery speeds - a designated short code may be a better fit for your brand. DSCs cost $750/month through the carriers (AT&T, Verizon, etc.). Postscript passes the exact fee from your brand to the carriers without any additional markup.
Learn more about toll-free numbers and designated short codes here.
While we offer the option to get on a contract, we do not require it. If you’d rather not sign a contract, simply select your package, install the app, and we will bill you on a monthly basis accordingly. If you’re interested in exploring a contract (and the pricing benefits that come with having one), please reach out to our sales team at sales@postscript.io to get started.
We do have a software development kit (SDK) merchants can add to their own shop’s code. Our SDK code includes desktop and mobile popups, our opt-in checkbox for checkout, and TCPA-compliant language. Learn more about adding our SDK to your shop here.
If you have a compliant subscriber list that you'd like to upload to your account, first make sure you have Postscript installed, then fill out this form. Our Compliance Team will review the information and reach out to you with any questions!
Like most SMS platforms, Postscript allows 160 characters per SMS message without emojis, and 70 characters per SMS message with emojis. SMS messages exceeding those character counts are split into multiple message segments, each of which is charged at the per-SMS rate.
However, not all platforms handle MMS pricing the same. Postscript allows up to 1,600 characters per MMS message with or without emojis. For more details on using MMS in Postscript, check out this Help Center article.
At Postscript, we believe in a product-led approach to compliance. All of Postscript’s features and list growth tools are hard-wired to follow guidelines set by the TCPA, mobile carriers, and other regulatory bodies. This means that compliance will be built into every part of Postscript so you don’t have to think about all of the different requirements. We’re committed to consistently updating our platform to meet changing requirements in the future. You can learn more about Postscript and compliance here.
For troubleshooting and strategy tips, our Customer Experience Advocates are available to help. You can contact our team via live chat Monday - Friday from 6am PT to 5pm PT. Brands can also reach our team via email at support@postscript.io or submit a support request here.
Postscript's usage pricing model offers shops the flexibility they need to adjust their SMS strategy throughout the year - this includes the ability to upgrade and downgrade plans whenever needed. Learn more about usage billing here.
Postscript defines "sending internationally" as sending to recipients outside of the United States (50 states) and Canada.

SMS isn’t a one-way communication channel. If you’re optimizing your program, you’ll be receiving responses from subscribers regularly. While some providers charge for incoming messages (beyond the carrier fees), Postscript does not.
Postscript also does not charge merchants for any messages that fail to deliver.
