2021 Summary
2021 was the year of acceleration, as the team ballooned from 49 to 215 employees, leaning into clear product market fit and riding the massive pandemic-era e-commerce wave. We raised a $35 million Series B round led by Greylock, giving us the fuel needed for this scale. Early in the year, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) was officially formed, setting the stage for professionalizing the company. A major technical undertaking—and a shared company "freak out"—was the mandatory migration off of shared short codes. Crucially, we launched Flowbuilder, a major step forward from Legacy Automation, and in-house Finance team to manage our increasingly complex usage-based billing system.

The Great Migration to Dedicated Short Codes
In 2021, carriers ended shared short codes and Postscript was forced to migrate all customers to dedicated numbers. It was a heroic effort by the Postscript squad-- a project that lasted over 6 months.
