What’s New in Postscript: October 2025 Product Updates

We’ve got a fresh round of updates designed to help you grow your list faster, improve the popup experience, and make campaign management much simpler. Read on to see what’s new in your Postscript account this month.

Shop Pay & Checkout Extensions Now Use Onsite Opt-in

SMS collection fields in Shopify Plus checkout extensions now use Onsite Opt-in for confirmed SMS consent, replacing the Reply Y flow. When a customer opts into your SMS program through the checkout extension, they will now confirm their opt-in with Onsite Opt-in. This workflow is also compatible with Shop Pay.

Allowing subscribers to confirm their opt-in with Onsite Opt-in creates a faster, more natural opt-in experience for shoppers and is expected to increase checkout opt-in rates by 2–3x, similar to the lift seen from popups. This update is already live for all merchants using checkout extensions.

Launch Campaigns Flows by Subscriber Timezone

Marketers can now check Use subscriber’s timezone when scheduling a campaign flow and subscribers will automatically be enrolled at the right time based on their local timezone. There’s also now a handy preview table showing when the campaign flow will launch across different timezones, complete with subscriber counts.

This makes campaign management much simpler, smarter, and more effective, ensuring every subscriber receives your message at the most relevant local time.

Available now for all merchants with access to timezone delays.

Popups: Target Email-Only or SMS-Only Subscribers

You can now show popups specifically to visitors who are subscribed to email only, SMS only, or both, giving you more control and opportunities to complete a subscriber’s profile with both their SMS and email information.

This update helps create smoother, more personalized experiences. For example, showing an SMS-only popup to visitors who have already shared their email, without overwhelming shoppers. This update is live now for all merchants who use Postscript's popup editor.

Popups: Hide the Teaser Close Button

Merchants can now hide the close button on popup teasers, giving more flexibility to align the teaser’s appearance with other on-site elements and widgets. This simple update helps maintain a cleaner, more cohesive brand look and feel across your site. Available now for all merchants using Postscript’s popup editor.

Postscript now updates SMS consent status in Klaviyo every five minutes, which is three times faster than before. This improvement ensures cleaner lists, more accurate segments, and stronger coordination between your email and SMS programs, without any extra work. This update is automatically live for all merchants using the Klaviyo integration.

Popups now have better analytics for clearer insights. Popup performance metrics now default to unique impressions, with opt-in rates calculated accordingly. This provides a more accurate view of performance and eliminates the noise from repeat views. You can still toggle between “unique” and “total” impressions as needed for deeper analysis. This update is live now for all merchants.
