What’s New in Postscript: February 2026 Product Updates

This month’s releases are all about helping brands drive more revenue with greater control, smarter acquisition tools, and more flexible promotions.

Here’s what’s new.

Protect Revenue When Deactivating Automations

When you deactivate an automation, you now choose what happens to subscribers currently in the flow. You can either remove them immediately or allow them to complete their journey before the flow fully shuts down.

This ensures you don’t lose conversions from subscribers mid-flow especially in longer sequences like winbacks or post-purchase journeys. If you allow subscribers to complete the flow, it enters a “Draining” state and automatically deactivates once all messages have been sent.

This is currently being rolled out to all shops.

Reduce Checkout Friction for Existing Subscribers

The checkout SMS opt-in field will no longer display for shoppers who are already subscribed (available for Shopify Plus shops).

By removing unnecessary fields at checkout, brands can deliver a cleaner buying experience and reduce friction at the most conversion-sensitive moment.

Now available to all merchants on Shopify Plus.

Introducing New Landing Pages (Closed Beta)

We’ve launched a new landing pages solution built with our popup editor giving brands a powerful, conversion-focused way to capture subscribers directly on mobile and desktop.

These pages include Onsite Opt-In, spin-to-win, quizzes, discount blocks, email capture, QR codes, and short links all within Postscript. Consent language is handled directly within the landing page experience, simplifying compliance and link sharing.

Currently available in closed beta.

Richer Product Context for Shopper using Metafields (Alpha)

Shopify brands often store valuable product information in metafields, from ingredients to subscription benefits. Now, Shopper automatically ingests, labels, and syncs relevant metafield data directly into Brand Center using AI.

The result: richer product context, more accurate messaging, and faster onboarding without manual setup. A new “Metafields” tab provides full visibility into what Shopper has ingested.

Currently rolling out to all brands using Shopper.

UTM-Based Popup Targeting

You can now target or exclude popups based on UTM parameters and the targeting persists throughout the site visitor's session.

This makes it easier to create traffic-source-specific experiences for paid social, influencer campaigns, and other acquisition channels, improving relevance and conversion performance.

Now available to all merchants on Postscript popups.

Advanced Discounting Across Postscript

Postscript now supports advanced Shopify discount types directly within automations, Shopper, popups, and landing pages.

Brands can create stackable discounts, Buy X Get Y promotions (including gift with purchase), and subscription offers with recurring cycle limits all without rebuilding promotions in Shopify or relying on workarounds.

This unlocks more sophisticated promotional strategies, increases flexibility, and helps drive higher AOV and subscription growth.

Rolling out in phases across automation flows and fully supported in Shopper, popups, and landing pages.
