Here at Postscript, we’re rebranding summer as “ship it season”—because we’re dropping new product features left and right all season long. June’s product updates include:

  • A/B testing for popups

  • Transactional messaging

  • Browse abandonment automation flows to re-engage high-intent customers and automate personalized shopping experiences

  • Subscriber tags to collect zero-party data within Flow Builder (and create hyper-targeted segmentation for future sends)

After spilling the tea on all these enhancements, we’ll run through everything you need to know about the new compliance updates impacting subscribers in Washington State.

I know, we’re totally stoked too. Read on for all the details, and don’t forget to hit us up with any questions or feedback.

Leverage the power of zero-party data to hyper-segment sends within Flow Builder.

At Postscript, we’re all about using the SMS channel to optimize engagement between brands and subscribers. We also understand that ecommerce marketers want to gather as much customer data as possible so they can create personalized customer experiences. Flow Builder offers a solution for both of these goals. Brands can now collect zero-party data—a.k.a. data that subscribers intentionally share directly with your brand—using the Update Subscriber Action in Flow Builder. Here’s how it works:

  1. Capture subscriber data in the text thread.

  2. Tag subscribers with this data within Postscript.

  3. Create hyper-targeted segments using subscriber tags, thus empowering you to deliver more personalized SMS journeys.

Add Customer Tag

Add Browse Abandonment automations to Flow Builder and convert more high-intent customers.

How can brands re-engage high-intent customers by delivering automated and personalized shopping experiences? You guessed it: Browse Abandonment automation flows.

Generally speaking, abandonment automations are some of the most lucrative messages you can have in your SMS line-up. Browse Abandonments are particularly effective in helping you not only recapture the attention of high-intent customers to increase conversions, but also nurture them through their buying journey (e.g., by inviting questions or feedback and offering real-time customer support).

In a brick-and-mortar environment, a retail worker may ask an in-store shopper if they have any questions or are looking for something specific. You can simulate this experience in the text thread by leveraging automations to automatically text a subscriber anytime they view a product—but do not end up completing a purchase.

Field customer responses by using the responses tab, your help desk, or Slack and sentiment tags to respond directly and promptly to subscriber questions.

Drill in deeper by conducting A/B tests in Flow Builder to find the optimal combination of timing, incentives, or creatives that resonate most with your subscriber base and earn you the highest return.
