We’ve Raised $65M in Series C Funding—Here’s What’s Next for Us
It’s a big day for us at Postscript! We’ve raised $65M in Series C funding. Dick Costolo’s venture firm 01 Advisors led the round, with participation from Twilio Ventures, Expanding Capital, m]x[v Capital, and existing investors at Greylock, Accomplice, Elephant, and OpenView.
When we first started working on Postscript in 2019, text was still a relatively novel way for brands to communicate with customers. In the very next year, SMS marketing was up 400%. The pandemic forced brands to accelerate their marketing strategies and find new ways to reach consumers in their homes. SMS was at the forefront of this, and today represents the single fastest-growing marketing channel.
With this shift came an exponential growth in the business. We now work with over 8,000 brands on Shopify—a base that has more than doubled since this time last year—including Brooklinen, Homesick, Native, Spikeball, and Kopari. On average, our customers see a 25X return on their investment when they work with us, with some of the lowest unsubscribe rates and highest engagement rates in the industry.
